Mirkwood

Mirkwood

The Mirkwood pipe is a beautiful Danish style pipe that has a rather unique greenish yellow color depending how you look at it with a yellow/blue swirled stem which complements the rest of the pipe very well. The pipe is made with Mimmo Italian briar and a hand cut SEM German ebonite stem with a delrin tenon for a smoother and tighter fit. The Mirkwood pipe has straight grain running all around the pipe and part of a plateaux on the bottom of the bowl and shank. The air ways have all been properly drilled and allows for a pipe cleaner to pass through smoothly. The airhole is directly centered in the tobacco chamber to allow for a perfect draw.

Mirkwood is the greatest forest of Middle-Earth, located in the eastern region of Rhovanion between the Grey Mountains and Gondor. Mirkwood was also known as Greenwood the Great before Sauron dwelt there. It is also the place where Bilbo along with Thorin Oakenshield’s company were attacked by the giant spiders and eventually taken captive by the Woodelves.
