The Crissaegrim pipe is a classic straight billiard with a mammoth ivory accent and hand-cut grey sand swirl ebonite stem. This pipe has a beautiful mix of both straight grain and bird-eyes and has been stained a medium brown color that is contrasted by the white mammoth ivory accent and sand grey stem. The pipe is made with Italian Mimmo briar and a SEM German ebonite stem and a mammoth ivory accent with a delrin tenon for a smoother and tighter fit. When I made the pipe, I left little nobs on the mammoth ivory accent on either side so the pipe stands upright on its own. All of the air ways are properly drilled to allow for the smooth passage of a pipe cleaner and a perfect draw.

The Crissaegrim formed a part of the southern Echoriath and was home to the Great Eagles of Thorondor. The great Eagles moved to the Crissaegrim after Morgoth’s return to Thangorodrim. It was here that Thorondor, the Lord of the Eagles lived, and from here he watched for spies attempting to find the hidden city of Gondolin in the vale of the River Sirion.
